PENCIL DRAWING: Daniel Craig, Portrait, as James Bond

This is an amazing pencil drawing. On seeing first time, it really looks like a black and white photograph. The artist has done a marvelous drawing here.

Pencil drawings can be done by two techniques. One is the lining technique. Under this style, the artist would do the extensive use of lining to animate the object before his or her eyes. However such drawing would look more or less flat. The form would look like a two dimensional one.

Another technique to draw with pencil is to execute the drawing by using Value Drawing. Under this style the artist would depict the effects of light falling on the object or the figure being drawn. Use of shading would be extensive in value drawing. This pencil portrait of Daniel Craig is done by using the value drawing technique. This style of drawing would give a three dimensional look to the whole portrait.
