Original Name : Norma Jeane Mortenson, but she was baptized as Norma Jeane Baker, Birth Date: June 1, 1926.

Marilyn Monroe was an American Actress, singer, Comedian and Model. She died on August 5.1962.

Monroe had worked in many films and she was an icon of beautiful woman in Hollywood. She was one of the best actresses of her time. Her main films are Bus Stop, Don't Bother to Knock,How to Marry a Millionaire, River of No Return, There’s No Business Like Show Business, Monkey Business, and The Seven Year Itch.

It is strange fact that Marilyn has passed much of her childhood in foster homes. She had begun her career as a model in her the initial stage. The job of modeling ultimately helped her to the contacts in film sector in the year 1946. And thus the world got such an actress of huge potentials in her life. After passing the most glamorous and the most controversial life as an actress of Hollywood, the final years of Monroe's life were spent in illness. She also faced certain personal problems, too, in her at the fag end of her life. Marilyn who was born on June 1, 1926, left this world and died on August 5, 1962. Here is the pencil drawing, with some use of colors. Pencil sketch on light tooth, 100 lb. vellum Bristol board. This pencil drawing looks phenomenal. One would mistake it as a photograph of 50s and 60s. such is the perfection of the artist in executing the work. If the drawing like this one is to be made so spectacular, it requires so much patience from the artists side.

On just looking at the portrait one would say that the texture is nice and the control of light and dark work with the pencil are really exceptional. The work seems so flawless.
